Reconnaissance Battalion — FM 17-22

The purpose of this manual is to outline general methods of training and employing the reconnaissance battalion of the armored division. Tactical employment of the reconnaissance company is covered in FM 17-20, and that of the tank company in FM 17-32. The
subject of reconnaissance in general is covered in FM 100-5 and FM 17-10.
